Lot 1

Sale Liveweight - 216kg
Description:
I don’t think I have ever lost so much sleep over whether or not to retain a stag or put it on the market!
545/21 was my favourite stag as a 2yr old and was entered in the Rising Stars 2yr velvet section. He was used for mating as a 2yr. Gorgeous velvet (cut short) plus great figures to back him up. Grand dam 3199/13 has a 10.00kg 6yr old son in the velvet herd! This young stag has a sizeable reserve as he would mean a lot to our breeding programme now Lazarus has gone.
This stag has excellent breeding values for both velvet and venison: an absolute all rounder

Lazarus/Even Stevens/Wotdonis... what a pedigree!
Dam 7212/17 is also the Dam of a 7.00kg 3yr by Brexit that was sold to Adam Martin last year. 548-21's velvet is very correct with great weight and balance to it.
Great sire in the making!

Lot 18

Sale Liveweight - 188kg
Description:
787-21 has a stunning velvet head!
Sire 8002/18 was Lot 1 in our 2021 sale and was sold to Nat Holmes.
We used 8002/18 over yearling hinds as a 2yr old and this was the result.
Nice pedigree on the Dam side with Hefner (Lot 2 Arawata 2019) over 4122/14 a Munta daughter that has a 12.30kg son in our velvet mob.

Lot 19

Sale Liveweight - 200kg
Description:
535-21 is lovely big, quiet Lazarus son. His velvet is very thick in the beam and has plenty of length between bez and trez, which will add weight to most velvet herds.
Dam 3086/13 is another top hind and 535-21 is the result of an ET programme. 3086/13 has а 10.70kg cutter in the velvet herd and has produced 2 other plus 6.50kg 3yr sire stags.
Lazarus/Wotdonis combo is working well and bringing you velvet and venison galore!
535-21 is embryo brother to 542-21, Lot 22 in this sale!

Lot 20

Sale Liveweight - 198kg
Description:
833-21 has a very quiet nature!....
So much so that he got jumped on in the outside pen by a velvetted stag and it bruised his bulb on one side, hence cutting him early. If velvetted to potential this stag would be easily over 7.00kg and no doubt would have held his tops as his sire does so well.
Craftsman was used over a few yearling hinds his first year, hence 833-21 weight being a bit behind his peers at his 6 month weight.

Lot 21

Sale Liveweight - 195kg
Description:
822-21 has a very short strong head of velvet, with down-turned brows. All of his tynes are very thick. Sire 8030/18 was used as 2yr old over yearling hinds and this was the result. His sire 8030/18 is the same sire as 815-21 Lot 2 in this sale!
9101/19 is very unique as her sire Halo was purchased from Cruse Deer the same year we bought Forbes, Halo he had perfect velvet @ 4yr ..
Unfortunately he died after 1st mating so we don’t have a lot of Halo progeny.
Lovely out cross sire!

Lot 22

Sale Liveweight - 195kg
Description:
542-21 is a tremendous Lazarus son that is Embryo brother to 535-21 in this sale (Lot 19)
542-21 has very dark thick velvet with great length between bez and trez. Both trez tynes have some added weight and character.
Dam 3086/13 showing her depth of breeding and consistency with 2 embryo sons in this sale!

Lot 23

Sale Liveweight - 189kg
Description:
677-21 has straight brows, thick tynes and clean beam with nice round tops.
Amisfield is a homebred Even Stevens son that we have retained as a sire after he impressed as a 2yr old, then cut a gorgeous 8.00kg 3yr head that then won the HB 3yr and 3rd in NI velvet competition.
336/13 is a Cruse bred hind from the line we purchased off Tom a few years back.

Lot 24

Sale Liveweight - 168kg
Description:
758-21 has very correct velvet. Great tyne placement and thick tynes throughout. Нe has a smaller 6 monthly weight as he is one of a set of twins. Dam 9342/19 is by 317 a Cruse sire out of 280/13 a Cruse hind that is also the Dam of lot 18 last year that cut 8.45kg @ 3yr and has just cut a massive 12.40kg @ 4yr. Sire 8030/18 has really shown his strength by the amount of sires he has produced in this line up!
Be careful not to overlook this guy because he isn’t the biggest velvet producer in his age group: his velvet BV says he is absolutely a top option

Lot 25

Sale Liveweight - 226kg
Description:
506-21 was a bit later born, hence the lighter 22 May weight. This is due to him being bred by the backup stag (Omar) after AI. Omar was used as backup sire as if any sire will catch a late born fawn up it will be Omar due to his size!
506-21 has thick, dark velvet that is very correct with great length to the beam! Dam
3084/13 is the Dam of Lot 16 (2021) which was sold to Malcom and Caroline Rau from Gisborne.
